You guys are acting as if someone said this is the ONLY problem that the scene has. Do you even try to understand our point?

There are always social differences, these are just the experiences I got
[hr]
and actually, that is what I just said, isnt it ? If you tell them i produce techno, I am sure they would know about it !Yes, but isn't it being ashamed of telling the name? There's clearly a problem with that.

When I talk with friends I always say "lets listen to some Techno Stuff". What else should I say...Hands Up ? The only reaction you get is confused faces like "what did you just say?" because they dont know what that is.
When someone asks me what genre am I producing, I reply with "Hands Up" and the reaction I get is usually something like "oh yeah, put your fucking hands up".

Funny, that even the urban dictionary says Dancecore is a word for Hands up music. The post is from 2010.

Is UK Hardcore "hard"?

I'm glad to see you guys agree with me. This is something that has to be addressed if we want to move forward. "Hands Up" needs a fresh new image. Songs like Not Gonna Save The World, Human Kind & In The End shouldn't be considered childish, just because that's what the genre's name implies. Also, I feel like Cc.K's new label N8Stuff Records is aiming to take this genre to a new level with fresh new ideas and quality productions. Might be a good time to leave the name behind and start from a clean slate. People like Rocco, Bass-T & Pulsedriver have been calling it "Dancecore", because it sounds more serious. I also vote for this option. If more and more people start calling it that way, it won't sound alien after a while.

Someone please tell Basslouder to use an LP filter on his lead if he doesn't want his fans to go deaf.

I don't want another "MC Overtaker"...

It's meaningless to make the same song twice ... :geek:
Yes, I agree with you there, I don't like remakes either. But on the original release, there was no house version, that's why they decided to do a remake. The melody is pretty simple and catchy, could work really well in clubs. If you think as an artist, it makes sense.
-
i don't expect it but i think this could be the only one who could top the old one
so it is senseless to make new hands up mixes ...
If it's meaningless to make new Hands Up mixes, then why are people complaining that there are only house versions? -
Why are you guys expecting a new Rob Mayth mix of Technodisco? Why on Earth would he remix the same song twice? It just doesn't make sense.

I'm surprised to see Into My World on this.

If this was something amazing, then they'd probably release it as Rob&Chris, since that's their main project. I don't have high hopes. Especially not with Neo involved.

I have a cool mix of this song.
